Job Overview
Smile Dental Center is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our private practice in Shelton, CT. The ideal candidate is upbeat, outgoing, and passionate about patient care. This position plays an important role in educating patients, supporting treatment planning, and helping create a warm, comfortable, and professional dental experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide dental hygiene care in a general dentistry setting.
- Educate patients on oral health, hygiene habits, and recommended treatment plans.
- Support doctors with patient care and treatment planning as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Work independently while also collaborating with doctors and team members.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
- Help support a positive patient experience in a fast-paced dental practice.
Experience & Qualifications
- Dental Hygiene certification from an accredited dental hygiene school is required.
- No minimum experience is required.
- Eaglesoft knowledge is preferred.
- Strong patient education and communication skills are important.
- Must be a team player with a positive, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and build a long-term professional relationship with the practice.
