Meet Our Team

With more than 20 years of experience as a hygienist, Mary joined the Smile Dental Center team in 2002. She became a dental hygienist because she loves to work with people. Mary treats each patient with care and respect, and always tries to make their dental visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible. When she is not working at Smile Dental Center, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys, Miguel and Gabriel. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and going to their soccer and baseball games. As a family, they enjoy camping and spending time together at the beach.

Sou has been a hygienist for over 20 years and joined Smile Dental Center in 2006. She loves her job and enjoys coming to work each day. Sou makes it her mission to educate her patients on good oral health and provides them the knowledge to maintain a beautiful smile for life. When she is not at Smile Dental Center, Sou enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Annaly and Sonny. Her children keep her very busy with their daily activities. Sou also enjoys exercising and traveling.

Sarah has been with Smile Dental Center since 2012. She has a passion for people and truly enjoys working in the health care profession and helping others. Sarah enjoys making patients feel comfortable while they are in the office and making them feel happy about their smile. Sarah’s family and friends are very important to her and when she is not at the office, she enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her English Bulldog, Ernie.

Oral health has always been one of Katie's passions since a young age. She is committed to sharing this passion with all who visit Smile Dental Center. Katie greatly enjoys getting to know each one of her patients and teaching them how to maintain good oral health. When she is not working at Smile Dental Center, she enjoys spending her time hiking, kayaking and playing with her dog. Katie also enjoys volunteering in her local community.

Jessica is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Her goal is to help every patient feel at ease while providing personalized care to support their long-term oral health. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter, Lucy. She also enjoys gardening, spending time at the beach, and traveling. Jessica looks forward to helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Connie has over 18 years of experience as a certified dental assistant. Since 1997, she has been a member of the Smile Dental Center team as Dr. Sofferman’s assistant. Connie’s favorite part about working in dentistry is meeting and interacting with many different people. She feels a great sense of satisfaction when patients feel confident and ready to share their smiles. When Connie is not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her four children and granddaughter. She also enjoys traveling to Italy as often as possible to visit her extended family.

Iris has over 7 years of experience as a Certified Dental Assistant. Her favorite part about working in dentistry is that she can be part of helping people achieve their dream smiles. When Iris is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Shaila and Ajani. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s school and going shopping. As a family, she enjoys going on family trips or just hopping in a car and taking a road trip.

Kayla has nearly a decade of experience as a dental assistant and is dedicated to providing exceptional, comfortable care for every patient. She takes pride in helping patients feel heard, supported, and at ease throughout their visit. Outside of the office, Kayla enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her friends, family, boyfriend, and their two cats.

Gianna has over six years of experience as a certified dental assistant. Her favorite part of her career is seeing patients leave with beautiful, healthy smiles. She believes that compassion and professionalism are essential in helping patients feel at ease during their visits. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Jeremy, and her family.

Tahjeah is excited to be back in dental assisting, where she combines her love for healthcare with her passion for helping others. She enjoys making patients feel comfortable and cared for by treating everyone with kindness, compassion, and a friendly smile. Outside of the office, Tahjeah is a proud mom who loves spending time with her family and getting lost in a good book.

Danesha enjoys welcoming patients with a warm smile and engaging introduction. Being involved and helping patients with their needs is truly a passion of hers. She loves to work with the team each and every day to help patients feel great about their beautiful smiles. When not at Smile Center Dental, Danesha loves to spend time with her family at home watching movies or simply enjoying each other’s company. She also loves spending time with her dog, Gracie.

Michele has been working in the dental field since 1994 and joined the Smile Dental Center family 20 years ago. She is a certified Dental Assistant, currently serving as our Scheduling Coordinator. In her off time, Michele enjoys gardening, cooking, volunteering at her church, as well as spending quality time with her 2 children and her husband of 30 years.

Pilar has been working in the dental field for over 15 years. She enjoys embracing patients with a smile. Pilar is also a highly organized, motivated person who understands the need to work effectively as part of a dental team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, going to the movies and bike riding.

Taniesha has been working in the dental field for over 15 years. She enjoys making patients happy and seeing them smile. When not in the office helping patients, Taniesha loves spending time with her husband, sons and extended family. Traveling is one of Taniesha's favorite hobbies.

Ayesha has five years of experience providing excellent front desk service and is dedicated to making every patient feel welcome from the moment they walk in. Outside of the office, she loves traveling abroad and spending time with friends and family.

Marie has been a part of the Smile Dental Center team since 1984. She has enjoyed watching the practice flourish over the years. Marie finds that working with the doctors and staff has been very rewarding. She loves working with patients, helping them feel comfortable and accommodating their busy lifestyles. Outside of the office, Marie enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and her extended family. As a family, they enjoy boating, sitting by the pool and hiking in Vermont.
