I switched to Smile Dental center late last year. The practice I was going to was going corporate and there seemed to be a lot of the long-term people leaving and I didn’t feel comfortable having somebody different all every time when I went there for my visits. My sister has been going to Smile Dental Center forever and highly recommended this practice. I’m glad I made the switch. Today I went in for a cleaning and Dental Hygienist Mary Martins took care of me. She made me feel very comfortable and you could tell that she really cared about what she was doing. She gave me the best cleaning that I ever had. She also recommended a different way to brush my teeth from now on. I highly recommend this practice if you are thinking about switching from your current practice.

I came to Smile Dental Center over 20 years ago & I'm so happy I did. Mary M. has been my hygienist since then. I'm comfortable with her. She's caring , knowledgeable & always helps me take great care of my oral health. The office is bright, clean & the entire staff is just awesome! They are friendly & efficient. I cannot say enough about how great my experience has been at Smile Dental! I desperately needed some cosmetic work done and was nervous about going ahead with it. Dr. Ruiz and her amazing assistant, Iris, made me feel relaxed and confident about every step. Dr. Ruiz is caring and gentle but gets the hard work done! She seemed just as excited as I was with the outcome! Iris is very tuned in to what Dr. Ruiz needs and assists her with efficiency and skill. Iris is also very aware and sensitive to what the patient is experiencing and seemed to always know what I needed. I have already recommended Smile Dental to several friends and family. Everyone in the office is friendly and very easy to communicate with. They truly go out of their way to make every aspect of your visit pleasant. What a wonderful, positive place!!

I am been a patient of Smile Dental for almost one year, since my long time dentist retired. This office is state of the art and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr Ruiz has been doing my dental work, four caps to date and she is wonderful, puts me at ease and she is an amazing dentist, quick, efficient while also being concerned for my comfort. Smile Center has no competition in CT. Whether you are looking for a routine cleaning or are in need of any extensive dental work: I would highly recommend a trip to smile center. I’ve been going to Smile for over 23 years.
They are the best. Mary is my favorite hygienist. She does such a great job and is very personable. The Dentists are great and their Shelton office is modern with all the latest equipment. If you need a crown you can get one the same day with their Cerac procedure. Plus who else would dress up as a Pilgrim outside before Thanksgiving to collect Turkey donations for those in need. -
Hi Iam a new patient at Smile dental center and I must say it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Patel was nice and very patient with me. It starts at the front with the wonderful ladies in the front. Crystal was very kind, explained all of the treatments, and answered all of my insurance questions.

Crystal is warm and smiley at the front desk. Upon arrival to departure. In between, Sue is amazing. She cleaned my teeth and connected with me on a level of true concern that is appreciated. Her motto is, “teeth are meant to go to grave with you; not placed in a cup!”

Katie was amazing, I had a amazing experience she was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was the best. I didn't have any discomfort while she did my xrays and cleaning. I recently 12/16/24 had a consultation as I need a hip replacement and need dental clearance. I have not seen a dentist in many years. I must say I was very impressed. First was Crystal who set up my initial appt advised me of the dental plan benefits they offer and made me comfortable. She was very friendly, kind and upbeat. Then there was Enrique the dental assistant he took my xrays, very kind and gentle. The dentist I saw was Dr.Patel, she was very welcoming, kind, and did a very through examination. She set up my plan to begin my dental journey. My hygentist was Katie,,what a pleasure to work with. Kind caring and gentle. She did a through cleaning, discussed better dental hygeine and showed me before and after pictures WOW
