I am so happy to have the opportunity to write a review. I have been coming to Smile Dental center since December 2012 so that makes a complete twelve years. The service from every dentist I have encountered has always been top notch. Each dentist has provided superlative dental care with amazing consistency. Sarah has been my Hygienist for the whole time and has always provided me with excellent care and such attention to detail. Not only that but Sarah is very friendly, caring, and compassionate as well as very professional. The front office staff are also amazingly friendly. To sum it all up, the entire office is beyond nice and it is such a pleasure to come here. Professionalism, expertise, friendliness, and heartfelt compassion are the hallmarks of this dental practice. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Since booking appointments with SmileDental, my dread/fear of dentists and hygienists has disappeared. I give full credit to Mary's welcoming smile and patient coaching. My appointments with Mary fly by. Consultations are compassionate and thoughtfully communicated. This is a new experience for me. Words fail. Thank you, Mary. I’ve been going to Smile Dental Center since I moved to Shelton five years ago. I have had wonderful hygienist throughout the years, but I have to say Sue is exceptional! I felt such a genuine care and concern for not only for my oral health, but for my general wellbeing. Sue took the time to connect with me, and I’ve never felt so comfortable and relaxed at the dentist office in my life! I have several implants and have some major dental issues throughout the years. Sue walked me through a very doable and necessary daily cleaning routine. As a woman that’s 57 years old, she took such time and care to show me the things I should’ve been taught many years ago! And most importantly, there was no judgment or ridicule. Sue is incredibly intelligent and so knowledgeable in her field. That’s why she’s been at Smile Dentist for almost two decades!! 😊

Katie was amazing, I had a amazing experience she was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was the best. I didn't have any discomfort while she did my xrays and cleaning. And setting me up for future appointments and giving me information and help with my questions. 1000% recommend , Thank you to all the staff and katie.

I can't give enough praise to Smile Dental Center and it's staff. They are always a cut above the rest when it comes to professionalism and cleanliness of the establishment. I want especially thank Sue K, who has been my dental hygienist for well over 10 years and on countless times has given me great advice on the caring of my teeth. With everything she has taught me, the cleanings have been very pleasant. In the past I would cringe at the thought of a dental appointment, but now I look forward to them. I recently 12/16/24 had a consultation as I need a hip replacement and need dental clearance. I have not seen a dentist in many years. I must say I was very impressed. First was Crystal who set up my initial appt advised me of the dental plan benefits they offer and made me comfortable. She was very friendly, kind and upbeat. Then there was Enrique the dental assistant he took my xrays, very kind and gentle. The dentist I saw was Dr.Patel, she was very welcoming, kind, and did a very through examination. She set up my plan to begin my dental journey. My hygentist was Katie,,what a pleasure to work with. Kind caring and gentle. She did a through cleaning, discussed better dental hygeine and showed me before and after pictures WOW
The office was the cleanest I have ever been in. It was the best experience i ever had at a dentist. Looking forward to my next appt -
Had an amazing experience. Pilar at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant. Dr. Ruiz was so patient and kind. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience.

I met Dr. Bruce through a professional networking group and decided to give Smile Dental a try. That was 5 years ago and I'm still happy! Sue has been my hygienist since day one and she always makes sure I'm comfortable throughout my cleaning -- and she kindly remembers details about my wedding, my travels and my teenaged son. (I bring my son to Smile Dental now, too!) I highly recommend this practice!

I’ve been going to Smile Dental for years. Sue is the absolute best and I won’t see anyone else for my teeth cleanings. Everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful. Anytime I’ve had a question or had to reschedule, they are so accommodating and helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience.

I have been dealing with major issues getting my implants finished. I was going to Mondovi Dental in Stamford CT. It was the worst experience of my life. I finally went to SMILE DENTAL IN SHELTON CT. They are the most professional and friendly dental office I have ever been to every single staff member I met was extremely friendly understanding and did everything they could to ease my anxiety from this long process. A tooth broke off of a temporary crown that the old dentist put in and I could not even eat food I went to Smile, Dental and the dentist fixed it in less than an hour and she is remarkable. I would recommend Smile, Dental to anyone even if you have to travel. They are the best dentist office you will ever go to

My son and I have gone here about 10 years. I've always feared dentists but this was the first place I've ever gone to that worked with me and diminished that fear. The receptionists are all great, and they also work with you on payment plans and optimizing your yearly insurance benefits depending on your needs. Every dentist and hygienist I've seen have been personable and down to earth, and able to explain things in layman's terms. The owner (at least i assume he is) also asks how the visits were and if there's any suggested improvements to which I always say no because I've honestly never had a bad visit for my son or myself. Staff seem happy to be there, though ofc I can't speak for them but their demeanor is always pleasant. Don't love going to the dentist but I've never found a dentist I'm more fonder going to than this practice. Thanks to the staff for how great you all are!

Smile is the best! My entire family goes here. They are knowledgeable, professional, kind and most importantly they do not hurt! I was so scared of the dentist before I started coming here. They constantly check to make sure you’re okay and ensure you are always comfortable and explain everything. Shout outs to Hayley our amazing hygienist and Dr. Patele. Hayley made me and my son feel so reassured by explaining everything and being present and enthusiastic and sharing relevant experiences. Dr. Patele is also fantastic. She is gentle and kind and so efficient. They both genuinely care. Kudos to them and the entire staff. You rock!????????????

Amazing experience at Smile Dental! Came for a cleaning, checkup and a night guard. Facility is clean and very spacious. I was seen exactly on time and didn’t feel rushed. Staff is friendly and patient. Dr Patel did a thorough exam and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

I find it hard to express all the wonderful experiences and treatments I have undergone at Smile Dental Center. My dental hygienist Sara is effective , knowledgeable and pleasant. I have been with Sara since she was with Dr. Anderson. I needed crowns and everything can be done during most one day visit. I am now a senior and no longer have dental insurance from my workplace. Smile Dental does offer their own in-house dental plan which is affordable.
The office is clean, fully staffed, and everyone is pleasant. If your staff is happy that is always a good indicator that your business is run well.
Easy to schedule an appointment, plenty of free parking.

My children have been going to Smile Dental Center for years. The staff are very welcoming and the hygienists are very caring.
My son had a cleaning with Sarah and spoke about his headache / pressure pain that he has had for about a year. She spoke to Dr. Sofferman and scheduled a free consultation with him to discuss his situation. Dr. Sofferman has been so kind and extremely generous as he has given us hope and shared his expertise on what the cause may be as well as the manner to remedy the pain. We are so appreciative of all he has done and I highly recommend Smile Dental Center as they truly care about their patients. -
Went to Smile dental for the first time today. The office is beautiful and clean- the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. The dentist Dr. Sofferman was amazing!! So knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The energy in the whole place is just fantastic. Overall it was a great experience!!

Today was my first time coming here after leaving my original practice of 35 years.
This spot is beautiful.
The front desk ladies are very professional
And friendly.
I have such bad dental anxiety. The first dental Ast had trouble getting my X-rays, then they sent Iris in she literally was a god sent. She eased me thru my anxiety, talked me thru it, while being able to perform The X-rays.
I met with Dr. Reese who was exceptional. She went above and beyond to answer any questions and made me feel at ease while setting up a plan for my future care.
Then I went to see Sue the Hygienist. She was AMAZING! So friendly, answered some questions no one ever has. Also, went out of her way to make sure I felt comfortable.
I also like how they give you sunglasses for the light and care about protecting your eyes.
They definitely have a great approach for kids or anyone who has really bad anxiety while seeing a dentist.
If I can give 100 stars I Would.
I have never seen such a well put together practice, where everyone truly cares and does what is best for the patient!
